About
Encryption Wars is an anonymous research log. We document how Bitcoin, stablecoins, payment surveillance, and policy drift interact—and how those forces might re-platform money under the guise of modernization.
What we publish
- Long-form theses connecting crypto-market plumbing to geopolitics.
- Timelines and explainers on legislation (e.g., GENIUS Act, 1099-DA) and enforcement actions that reshape the “edges” where people meet protocols.
- Field notes on privacy tooling, censorship pressure, and the next round of the encryption wars.
Editorial posture
- Anonymous on purpose. We want the arguments to stand on their own, not on résumés or cults of personality.
- Source-first. We prefer primary docs (rulemaking, court filings, S-1s, BIS research) and firsthand incident reports to rumor.
- Agentic skepticism. We assume incentives, not masterminds, but we map how incentives compound into infrastructure and leverage.
